MANUCO organizes the 8th International Nitrocellulose Symposium in Bergerac (France), the world's premier international gathering of experts to present the latest advances in the field of nitrocellulose, from the raw material to the final product.

Claude GUILLAUME, Technical Manager of the Symposium, on behalf of the Scientific Organizing Committee, appreciates the great interest raised with 27 final oral presentations and 16 posters, selected from 42 proposals.

MANUCO will be participating in SHOT Show 2017, which will take place in Las Vegas (USA) from the 17th to the 20th of January 2017. This event welcomes international buyers and sellers from more than 100 countries in order to establish connections with the world’s leading manufacturers of cutlery, firearms, ammunition, outdoor apparel, optics, safety equipment and tactical gear. The SHOT Show attracts more than 65,000 industry professionals, and it is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for professionals who sell products related to the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries. By participating, you will see more than 1,600 exhibits covering 630,000 net square feet.


The 7th International Nitrocellulose Symposium was held from May 31st - June 1st in Montreal (Canada). The purpose was to gather nitrocellulose related professionals in order to put together and share knowledge regarding the manufacture of this product.

Claude Guillaume, MANUCO’s Technical Manager and Project Leader, gave a presentation called “Morphology analysis measurement and correlation with fineness”. Fineness is one of the most important parameters in the characterization of nitrocellulose. MANUCO has been able to determined correlation between average size length and classical fineness. This is an innovative project that allows MANUCO to gain knowledge about this product, secure better homogeneity between different batches and adds value to our customers by helping them get better correlation between the final quality of propellants and physical properties of nitrocellulose.
